On Sept. 26, 2016, Ernest Williams came to Life Care Center of Andover for rehabilitation after having surgery for a thoracic aortic aneurysm.
When she arrived, Williams needed assistance with her mobility and balance. She also needed help with her activities of daily living, including managing his medications, getting dressed, bathing and taking care of her hygiene.
Occupational therapists worked with Williams five days a week to improve her self-care skills, and she also had physical therapy sessions five days a week to increase her strength and balance and improve her gait.
"I'm glad therapy pushed me every day to get better," Williams said.
Williams returned home on Oct. 28, able to get around with a cane, or a walker when she was tired. She was able to take care of herself with some modifications and home health services.
